    Default ~Greetings from the NW~

Hi! My name is Liz and while I am not directly invloved in firefighting, there are a couple people dear to my heart that are. My son fights Wildland fires in Washington and Oregon and though I have a pretty good idea about how his day goes, the information on your site has helped me better understand what he faces each time he is called out. Surfing your site makes me feel closer to him somehow. What a great place!

Welcome to the gang from Ontario Canada.
If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation?

He works for GFP out of Sisters, Oregon and just finished mop-up on the Egley Complex out of Burns, OR. He's waiting for his next dispatch and with so many fires burning, I'm sure he won't have to wait long. Thank you both for the welcome! You guys do a great service and I cannot applaud you enough!

Thanks!! I already do love it!!

I have always had a special place in my heart for firefighters and firetrucks. It just never occurred to me before to join the ranks,,,

But, I will help out until I no longer can, for whatever reason!!!

    I guess I should have had a V8!!!

Hey, I know how you feel. I enjoy the time I get to spend with my husband, even when it is on the fire scene. He still loves to say he is the "boss over me". Well, sometimes he's right when I am the hoseman and he is the crew chief. I love it! Welcome!
