Looking for info out there from FF's on the types of High Rise Hose used in either 1-1/2" or 1-3/4" sizes. In particular I'd like to hear from medium to large Urban or Metro FD's who have a number of high rise buildings.
Specifically I'd like to know brand/size/weight/flow etc. of the hose used for High Rise Pacs.
Also do any of you use the High Rise hose with CAFS and what has been your success been?
THANKS

I'd suggest having a look at Mercedes Carry Lite 600. It's a very light weight double jacket hose. They use a thermoplastic lining which cuts the weight down a ton compared to rubber lined hose and packs really tight. Very well priced also.
We just took delivery of enough to switch all our packs over and as you know
, we've got some high rises so weight is an issue.

Get 2.5" lightweight hose. There are too many reasons not to use anything smaller. Look in the tactics section or do a search on the subject, there has been a ton of info back and forth in the last few months. In there you'll find plenty of opinions from Brothers in metro depts who actually fight hi-rise fires.
