    Thumbs up Much Respect

I'm very interested in becoming a firefighter here in Texas. Anyone with advice on where to get started Please let me know....it seems like everyone tells me something different....figured all of y'all have already gone through this, when you made your decision to firefight. I live between Mckinney and Sherman. Also I have a B.S. degree...don't know if that matters.....Thanks for your time...be careful out there

Welcome to the forum. You should definitely try to attain as much training on your own as you can. Also, you should look into volunteering. These are things that help you look good to departments.
