W. Kentucky Wildfire Contained

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A spokeswoman says firefighters have contained a wildland fire in western Kentucky, but weather conditions could cause it to flare again.

Gwen Holt of the Kentucky Division of Forestry says dry, windy conditions make it likely that the fire will spread beyond the containment. The fire is being held to about 500 acres.

The fire began on reclaimed strip mine property in Ohio County, but the agency is not sure how it started.

Holt says no structures are currently at risk.
