    Thumbs up College Football

    Ah,

The best time of the year. The start of college football season!

The current NCAA Football Champions looked very good. Tim Tebow showed he is more than a capable passer.

GO GATORS !! Back to Back Champions in Basketball and Football!!!

    Make Your Predictions!!!

I will state for the record...It will not be USC when all is said and done!!!!

Don't under estimate the UW Badgers this year. I won't make a national prediction, I think the system is still too flawed with too many variables for that, but I will be hopeful for a Big-Ten championship.
Bret Bielema seems to have picked up where Barry Alvarez left off, and maybe even improved a bit. They will be fun to watch.

Speed on defense, a mobile quarterback who can throw, and the best offensive line in college football. I can't wait.

    Go Bucky!

I agree 100%! And it couldnt have started any better with what happened in the Big House. I was jumping up and down when I heard of the upset. My wife thought I had lost my mind. I cant wait to get to work tomorrow and pile on the Chief, who is a HUGE M fan.

Im a Buckeye by birth, but my adopted Gators did look good. I think Tebow is a stud, but I think another championship is a bit much to hope for. It is kinda a rebuilding year and they still dont have much of a running game. Id be satisfied with an SEC east title and of course a win over FreeShoesU.

The badgers have an awsome team again....They will be in the hunt this year. Michigan is going to be a good team but I dont beleve they can make a NT bid after loosing to AP State. AP state is the real deal and beating Michigan in the big house was no fluke....They have an awsome team and will likely go back to the division AA NT game.

After getting their sloppy game out of the way, Texas is poised to reclaim the Big XII South, and by default the entire Big XII. I predict a BCS bowl, but not the national championship for the Longhorns.

Come on now!! I root for all SEC teams to win, except for when they play Florida! Dad's from Alabama also grew up BIG Tide fans. Hopefully Nick Saben will indeed turn the program around. Roll Tide!

    Go SEC!!!

    Nice win Appalachian State!

Man, I love talking College Football! Good luck to your teams this year.

I agree with Dave, an SEC title and a win over Free Shoes University will make the season. ( As long as USC doesn't win ).

I follow the JMU Dukes pretty closely, so I also follow the other top Div 1 FCS teams. I don't think people have grasped the enormity of what App. State did on Saturday. They are the defending two-time Div. 1-A champs and they have an awesome program. They anihilate most of the other FCS teams. I think the most impressive thing is the way they did not crumble under the pressure. Michigan has a great program, but I would not want to be in practice there this week.

Especially since Oregon gave 500+ yards of total offense to Houston.

I'm thinking that maybe 'ole Bo sold his soul to the devil; Michigan hasn't won since he died last year.

    Thumbs up Applachian State

Have been to Boone NC three times. Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain. All beautiful country.

Several of our high school wrestlers recieved scholorships there so we have been following Applachian State. They are indeed impressive.

That's what makes college football so special. The excitement and enthusiasm are unmatched.

Being a Gator fan it was nice to see Michigan get beat after all of the controversy over the BCS title game last year.

    Oregon 39 MICH 7

Michigan's QB situation is scary now. They used a true freshman after Henne got hurt.

OH Well, MSU won and Northwood (GLIAC) won!

Notre Dame and Michigan both at 0 and 2 at the same time. First time that has EVER happened.

On the flip side both Texas A&M and Texas are 2 and 0.

The Big 12 is kicking booty this year.

Default Battle of the Big 0-2 teams

We discussed this at the table today....Michigan 3, Notre Dame 3 after 3 ot's. Neither can play to win.

I saw on ESPN that Michigan is going with a true freshman QB against the Irish. Things must be in an uproar in Ann Arbor.

I'm obviously a Pirates fan (being that it is my alma matar). I think it's great we won over UNC over the weekend, but the Southern Miss. game coming up I'm not so sure about. VT killed us with their tight ends and thats a strength that I think Southern Miss. possess too. I hope we can continue the momentum that we started last year with six wins. (Hey, we take what we can get around here.)
Just know, I chose my own fate. I drove by the fork in the road and went straight.

USC plays Nebraska at Lincoln this weekend. This will be a true test of USC's validity of a number one ranking.

Their showing against Idaho was more a venue to get playing time for the bench.
