Grab an emergency response guide and sit at your local busy intersection for a while and see what is being driven in tanker trucks through your hometown everyday. A B-52 flying nukes through my air space is the least of my worries.
09-10-2007, 09:09 PM #28Don't kid yourself. B-52Hs are scheduled to remain in service until at least 2040. (Even though the last ones were built long before most of their crews were born. )
Sad part is... they have already reached the 50 year mark. I say make it 2055 and go for 100 years.
Low maintence costs and good high altitude performance make them still very useful despite the fact that they have been flying since 1955
