Nashville

I heard that Nashville has alot of problems and I was wondering if anyone could give me alittle insight on what these might be. I just wanna know what I'm getting into.

I too am curious about these "problems". I'm local and I'm not hearing anything, but that doesn't mean there aren't any.

I have not heard about these particular problems. I am in the top 40 out of 1200 on the list to hire with interviews next week. Now the police department has some problems with retention due to some issues there.

I had a Chief tell me that this Dept has major problems and to make sure I knew what I was getting into.

The only thing ive heard is of course the political aspect of the hiring process and advancement. Then ive heard that most people once they get on stay until retirement, which means it cant be that bad.

That's pretty vague. I really hate it when someone tells me something like "you'd better know what you're getting into" and their reasoning is something like "because they have major problems". Problems of which he didn't care to elaborate on. Those problems could be anything including the fact that he just may not like Nashville...who knows.
