Any chaplains out there?
I am a United Methodist local pastor and am working towards an mdiv right now. I have joined a local vol. dept. How do I get more info about the fire chaplaincy? Are there full-time positions in larger departments? Is there a chaplain candidate program, kinda like the military chaplain candidate programs?

The FCFF should be able to answer most of your fire chaplain related questions. They're a good group of guys.
The world is your oyster. Many departments would probably love to have a Chaplain. Few have them. I strongly suggest that you check out The Federation of Fire Chaplains. They offer training nationally. Most paid Chaplains that I know came through the ranks as Fire Fighters The main advice that I have for you is to learn that the Fire Chaplain's job is to "Come Along Side" these workers and not to preach at them.
There may be a few paid Chaplin positions out there
