I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I came across this site looking for some information on oral interviews. Found out last week that I passed the written for OCFA and the oral is next week. I'm just a little nervous, this is my first oral interview, and I feel very lucky to have scored high on my first try at obtaining my goal of becoming a Firefighter. I honestly thought that I did bad, all those situational questions on the exam and all. Just goes to show, you never know.

About 2 years ago I gave up a 15 yr. career in the entertainment industry as a prop/modelmaker to start over in this new career. Got a job with the local city, allowing me the time to go back to school. Currently I am enrolled in EMT-B and Intro to Fire Protection 101 at the local community college trying to get my A.S. in Fire Technology, while also putting my application together to try my hand at getting into one of the local fire academies. I ordered up Capt Bob interview packet and am just waiting for it to come in the mail. Trying to get my "Nuggets" together so that I shine at this interview.
