    Wink Hey! New Member:-)

Hey I have been looking at yall's webite for awhile and I never really thought of joining until now. Ya'll have great posts and everything. All the information really helps out. I put in an application for being a explorer at my local fire station and I was accepted but they are waiting for one problem that they have been having to hire me:-( I am really excited to joining but also a little jittery lol. I have grown up in a fire/emt family and they all loved it. Ok just wanted to introduce myself. If ya'll have any tips let me know......Ohhh and also I am a girl if that matters.

Hi and welcome to the emergency services and to this forum. Sometimes we get a little off topic, but there is great information on here.
Just someone trying to help! (And by the way....Thanks for YOUR help!)

Welcome and since you grew up with a ems/fire family you have a great resource of info there. If you want more here is one thing do some strength training so that you can move the hoses easier. Ask some of the firefighters/emt's that are in the station for some ideas.

I had the same type of stuff you did with my family and my dad took me on some fires to see if I would enjoy doing that and haven't stopped that even when I got married.
