    Default Scott Air-Pak 4500

    Hi:

I had recently purchased an Scott Air-Pak 4.5 of "Flea-Bay" just for conditioning purposes to prepare for Smoke Divers in March. It didn't come with a cylinder. My question is 2 fold. Firstly, can I mount a 2216 bottle on this pack? The reason is that in Smoke Divers they use 2216's even though our dept. uses 4500. Secondly, if it can be done, is there some special fittings that I would need at the valve? Finally, would anyone have a 2216 bottle they would want to sell or maybe a 4500 is the conversion isn't possible?

Thanks for all of your hlep!!

Our Scotts will allow this. You can put the 2200 in the 4500 pack, but not the other way around. They've got the part that screws into the bottle set up where it's longer, as well as the neck of the 4500 psi bottle. That way, when you try to screw the 4500 bottle into a 2200 pack, it won't seat correctly.
