I was just wandering what kind of "sports" you play at the station. For example, we have a basketball goal and a horshoe pit.

No sports here, too busy responding to calls, training, public education, building maintenance, and about a dozen other jobs.

Most of our stations have basketball goals. The station I ride out of has one but it's broken. I think we used to have a rule, where firefighters werent allowed to play basketball, because the cheif was afraid of them getting hurt.

Our department has a really good softball team (league championship streak of 4 years was broken this year I believe, but did win the tournament for the 5th year in a row)

Also have a bowling team for the Northwest Ohio Volunteer Fireman's Assoc.

Thats dumb. Firefighters should be able to play sports at the firehall. It is a good way to get exercise and people have fun doing it. that way we can get excercise instead of sitting around eating and watching TV.

It all started as one bounce - off the back-board. Then went to one bounce, off the backboard while getting fouled. You can use your imagination from there.

Contact Billiards - A person "breaks" as usual. If they make a ball then game on. If they miss, their opponent has an opportunity. Everything is as usual until the first ball is sunk. As soon as the first ball is sunk another cue ball is added by the opposing player in the "kitchen" then both players shoot at the same time. The object is to sink all of your balls first. If you get behind or have a good shot you can try to knock the other players balls out of position. You can also bump or run into your opponent while he is shooting. Whatever it takes to win!
