All depends on area, season, and who is feeling like they have trigger finger..

I think you're going to have to be a weeeeee bit more specific.

The department I'm an Explorer with (Rossford) gets about 800 a year and that's the same with my hometown department (Northwood). 80% of the runs are EMS runs.

Thanks, and RFxplr326 i'd hope that 80% of the calls are EMS because if you have 800 fires gas leaks etc. There something rong with your town lol

my station does about 15-20 a day. fortunately we are close to the hospitals. about 60% are medical and the other fire calls. My engine averages about 40 fires a year on my shift. it's busy and exhausting but i enjoy it, and that is why we don't work two days in a row. The important thing isn't how many calls you do.....its that you do your best and take every call serious. i always tell people who forget compassion on medicals to treat every pt like their grandma. whether its a little old lady or bum that you run on daily and he pukes at you or throws feces. STAY SAFE!
