This military occupation might interest some. Air Force PJs were paramedics before the word even appeared in the dictionary. However PJs are not just paramedics they are expected to do rescue, specifically combat search and rescue and those rescues volounteer and non-government organizations just lack the infrastructure, capability, and resources to get to.
