I guess they didn't have much to choose from. I wonder why Al Gores fictional movie won the prize? Half of the documentary has been shown to be false, half-truths, and misleading. For instance, the CO2 and temperature graphs do indeed show the same trends. The problem is that the CO2 is about 800 years behind the temperature. Of course, the Nobel committee is appointed by the Norwegian government. So the prize in fact is a political honor, not scientific.

Doesn't anyone think it is odd that it used to be the ozone depleting substances that were causing the warming? Now it is the CO2. What will be the next cause of global warming? Perhaps it will be blamed on the hot air coming from liberals.

Maybe Gore can use this data in a sequal to his movie:

    Default What a joke.

Am I the only one who finds it depressing that while past laureates like Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King, Albert Schweitzer spent decades working with the poor, in terrible conditions, Gore wins for making a movie? A movie of himself giving a lecture? A movie whose upshot is that the poor in Calcutta and West Africa should be denied access to the energy that can lift them out of poverty?" My question is: What's he done? The Nobel Peace Prize in recent years hasn't been about "peace," anyway. It's been about liberal activism. How do you explain Jimmy Carter getting the Nobel Peace Prize? How do you explain Yasser Arafat getting the Nobel Peace Prize? Gore's going to get it because of a movie? What a joke.

I thought the same thing when they awarded it to Henry Kissinger.

C'mon. Everyone knows that the leading cause of Global Warming is not CO.. its SMUG. The awarding of the prize to Gore will only hasten our demise!
