    Default Responsibility vs. Accountability?

Anyone care to give their definition?

For me responsibility is a "duty" and accountability is being held answerable for the results of one's actions.

    Real life example:

As a college student I waited tables. It was my duty to provide good service. If I did otherwise I could have been held accountable by receiving a poor tip or review, which is why I always worked extra hard to do a good job.

Yeah, that about sums it up. So, um, what's the big mystery?

    Default Thanks

Nothing - I was just told it was a question occasionally asked on an oral board, just wanted to bounce my answer off others.
