Bugle : That is simply wonderful ! I guess that shows that there is still plenty of $$$left , we hope might come our way yet.
Got the DJ on our tanker app but still hoping for good news on Op's & safety. We went for SCBA upgrades and voice amps and handheld and truck radios. .

Sorry to hear about the tanker application. It took a few minutes for my mind to kick in when I saw "tanker" and the original proposal was going to be a brush truck.......then it hit...the brush truck was approved at TM.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for the OPS application.

The brush truck RFP was finally approved by the selectmen last week and is supposed to go out to 6 potential builders this week. A new way of doing business for us , but when the town is providing the funding we have to play by their rules.
We decided that our most pressing vehicle issue after the brush truck was to replace our 1985 isuzu/GMC cab-over chassis tanker which has air over juice brakes and is really underpowered. It still does the job , but will need major maintenance expense in the near future to keep it in safe operating condition. Would be nice to have full air brakes to slow the weight down ,and there are only a few of us old-timers that can drive the 5 & 2 speed drive train to it's potential.

Thank for keeping us in your thoughts. Ed
