Utilizing SCBA's to supply air tools.

Hey guys, I was just wondering how you can supply an air tool using SCBA's, more precisely Scott Pack Fifty's. I'd appreciate any input or guidance.

Never seen someone hook a tool directly to an scba, but using the cylinder to supply air for tools thats no problem. Several manufacutures make regulators that will tread on to a sbca cylinder. You set the output pressure for the tool your using and your ready to go. We even took an old scba frame stripped off everthing but the straps to make the setup easier to haul around.

Use a Paratech Regulator directly to cylinder

Its better to have dedicated air tool cylinders so that they do not get contaminated from grease oil and what not from inflating and deflating the tools.

I still don't buy that whole oil back to the cylinder thing...

We use MSA cylinders to our Ajax air rescue tools (www.ajaxtools.com). Just have a regulator that came from the Ajax company that we can thread onto our cylinders.
