    Question Info on POK QST?

Chief is interested in the POK quikstik nozzle for a grant. Anybody have, had or seen the quikstik? I'm not a big fan of POK but think the foam stick is a good concept. We have foam on our engine and an ancient eductor on our second engine. We'd like to put the POK on the second engine, our tanker and maybe our brush truck.

Anyone know of any other manufacturers do anything similar?

Anyway, I searched the forums for info on this system, and found a thread. But it had no replies, so I thought I'd hit up everybody that frequents the grant threads.

I don't know about the quikstick concept, but I sure am a fan of the POK
nozzles. Priced right, very sturdy, and very versatile. We bought all new for our new CAFS engine, and I think they are great.

    And free color coding!

I appreciate the info LVFD, may be worth the effort in trying to purchase a couple.

Seen it and played with it at a show and I agree that looks like a very good concept. They now have several models available.

So tell me something. I've seen this thing but never had it in my hands. What happens if you only use part of the stick? Can you finish it next time you need foam? Have to replace it?

I think it's a good concept, I'm just a bit antsy on it yet.

The POK rep in our area lets us use his demo for training, and if you don't use the whole stick, you just wrap it in plastic and store it for the next use. Pretty neet, and handy.

Salesman made point that you need to then reassemble and flush well (the obvious).
