I was viewing a post on here earlier,the post showed that there were several that joined a career dept. at age 38 to 40 years old.I live in Illinois and most dept's age cut off to get hired is 34 or 35.I'm currently 40 yrs old and would like to move and get on a bigger dept.Can anyone give me info.on what states will allow hiring over 40.I have eleven years in a career dept,do any dept's have a lateral hiring. Just wondering if I'm to old to move to another fire dept. Thanks
