Default Need some music ideas for a video

I've been asked by my department chief to do a video for Bowling Green State University's State Fire School (http://fireschool.bgsu.edu/). I'm in need of some music preferences. I'm going to make one long video and several shorter versions. I'll have all the pictures and movie clips (I'm told) by Monday and there's going to be about 4 cds total.
I have two on the department's website that I did this past summer for my Explorer Post- http://www.rossfordfire.com/explorers.html (they're at the bottom).

My goal is to satisfy all music preferences with music that is fitting for the video (more up-beat stuff). So I need some ideas of music that everyone likes. I want the videos to be liked and I don't want to put in a bunch of music that everyone hates and since I'm doing several videos, I don't want to use the same music over and over.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Go to www.thebravestonline.com THeses guys make ethe videos for Houston FD and for many other departments around the area. The edit and then add music to it. Haven't heard the same song twice yet so look at a few of the videos and get some ideas from the videos. Chris

    Pantera "Cowboys From Hell"

Or if you're into the artsy fartsy thing look up Ennio Morricone, he did the soundtracks from the Clint Eastwood Spaghetti Westerns. Good stuff there

    Rockstar by Nickleback
Long way to the top by AC/DC
Something to be Proud Of by Montgomery Gentry
    Help Somebody by Van Zant
    Pipeline by The Ventures

For some "Not so mainstream" stuff try:

    Pride by Syntax
(has been used on Law & Order SVU & the original CSI: that I know for sure.)

    Boom Boom Ba by Metisse
(Used in the HBO series "Dead Like Me")

    Everybody Knows by Leonard Cohen
(kinda dark but fairly up tempo back beat - used in the 80's movie Pump Up the Volume)

Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight, The End - The Beatles
(used by Chris Bliss in the over YouTube'd juggling demo)

The way I Are by Timbaland

Feels so Good by Chuck Mangione

Back to the house that love built by Tito & the Tarantulas
(Used in one of the 3 Antonio Banderas - El mariachi trilogy movies)

I Feel Love by Donna Summers (also Blue Man group does a worthwhile cover for a slightyly differnet sound - floating onthe net is a short snipped of a live version by Red Hot Chili Pepers)

    For something COMPLETLY different
Wicked Game by Gregorian (may be good for an intro section)
Hotel California by the Gipsy Kings

Probably dosen't fit this project, but if you ever do any tribute stuff
When I get where I'm going by Brad Paisley & Dolly Parton is awesome
    Hey God by Vince Gill
Blinded by Rainbows by The Rolling Stones

That's all I got off the top of my head right now.

The (almost) final product. I'm not too sure about the music, but I think it'll do...

"We die young" Alice in Chains.

    It's a joke.

The video was actually shot in the back yard of a house that burned a few weeks before.

If the other video freaked you out. Try some Buckethead. It would be interesting theme music for a fire video.

He is actually one of the greatest guitarists ever. A little on the excentric side though.
