Default WebTeam: Request For Thread To Be Closed

    WebTeam,
Could you close the Xbox 360 game idea thread? Comments that were made have offended many people and have caused quite a disruption. I have just realized that my comments could be viewed as a disrespectful comment. But I did not, by any means, intentionally mean to cause such a disruption. So if you wouldn't mind closing the thread, that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Explorer343

Once again...I didn't realize the severity of the comment until after it was said.

Wow. .5 years in the fire service. As an explorer. Not even a firefighter. When I was a junior, and allowed to ride the trucks, Juniors were allowed to be seen and not heard for at LEAST a year.

Do us all a favor kid. Stop posting. Period. Sit down, shut up and hold on. Do not speak for at least a year, and then even then it better be to ask an intellgentquestion, or to make a coffee order. Stop apologizing, stop making excuses, and PLEASE stop making yourself look even more foolish than we all think you already are.

Chris, add my name to that letter. Sign it "An insulted 18-year veteran of the fire service."

You can still view the closed thread. You just can't comment on it. I just wish I didn't post that thread in the first place.

To be honest everybody, the question was not meant to cause this much outrage. I honestly didn't see it the way you saw it. I don't know how to explain it. Seriously.

I am very serious in my apology. I am EXTREMELY sorry for this. It was a mistake that I was unaware of until Res343cue brought it up to me. I TOTALLY didn't mean it that way. I don't know how else to explain it. I know your EXTREMELY insulted but please be assured that this mistake will NEVER happen again.

Buff gave you the best advice, and it's what some have been trying to tell you all along.

The senior/experienced members are actually being VERY accommodating toward you, usually they eat little brats like you up and spit them out.

They must see some potential in you to keep giving you all these chances, but you really need to listen to the excellent advice given and hush up. READ. READ OLD THREADS. If you have a question burning (no pun intended) in your brain that you're just itching to ask, do a search first and see if you can find a previous discussion. Get a mentor. Do whatever it is you have to do to learn and improve your knowledge of all aspects of firefighting, but zip the lips. Modify the "Two ears, one mouth" saying to fit the internet.

    Good luck.

I don't think so. Seems some here can never just take the easy way out of things and send a simple little PM. Ah well, I'm not the one who was to wear it.
If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation?

I'm sure your a decent enough young man. You have an interest in firefighting, and some passion. Those things will take you a long way. Not unlike a lot of good fireman that I know, you are unable to engage your brain before speaking (typing). The difference b/w them and you is that firehouse is an online forum.

You should do two things. Eliminate all references to "your" department on the forums and in your profile. Second close your account. You may still be able to get hired somewhere, but if your posts are any indication of the way that you communicate with other firefighters I would suspect that you have probably wrecked those chances already.

So in short, stop posting, and try to cover your tracks.
