    Default night training

An old question revisited, my take on this is no. I think that the night time should be left up to the individual. My experience is some guys will open a book, some may be on partials for classes, some may just be there.

If it's a scheduled drill, then everyone should be participating.

My current department doesn't train at night too often. We do train every day shift though.

My old vollie department has 3 night drills a month.

It seems that everyone is on board that it's a no. Any one know of departments that have organized or scheduled training on evenings?

well I admit there not as cute as your story in probie house- "50 lb. weight vest" of the two bulls on the hill. I'm sure that inspired many.

I may be way off base, but I believe that somewhere there is a standard that says something about minimum night trainings. We try to do a couple a year now. How bad would it be to go out and do a night extrication training or throw some ladders. Get off the recliners and do your jobs. I know I would rather sit down after dinner myself. But, we don't train every night.

What are you guys classifying as "night"? 7pm? 2am?
Even the burger-flippers at McDonald's probably have some McWackers.

Damn you got me. I myself am a fellow whacker. As they say it takes one to know one. PinJoB keep your post coming, you are filled with much knowledge that you should share. I'm always listening. Besides I think we have the same feelings toward that Firecrasher Chick.

Whats your feelings on that Federal?
