My Dept has about 12 Sutphen aerials. We've used the same company for service testing them for several years now.

I asked the technician what model aerial gives him the least trouble. He said hands down Smeal made the best aerial ladder in America.

This guy was not a saleman. He only service tests ladders.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.Due to some prior planning, and a living will, arrangements are in place for next week. Meaning in short: I WILL be in Harrisburg with my extended family. Which will allow some needed time to collect my thoughts before I "basket case" again. When I was younger these details didn't bother me. Now they do,A LOT! T.C.

Buff,I found the Engineer.I also found my brothers from another mother from Rockland,NY. As usual, they had me rolling in the aisle.I love those guys, they always have a way of brightening up the party.Got a stamp of approval on the Ladder so I guess we got something right.Talked to a lot of my friends down there which was a big help considering the circumstances. Great show, looked to be busier than it was last year. The folks from Smeal were very accomodating and we enjoyed being able to spent time with them along with Joe Sullivan from Spartan and his boss. The crew from Commack showed up and had me in hysterics with the usual Truckie vs Engine guy stuff. It REALLY is a small world. Thanks to ALL of you for helping me thru this difficult time. Thank you really is SO inadequate. T.C.
