    Default Air National Guard FF

    I see that there are a lot of ANG FF openings...can anyone shed some light on these...I know Air Force ones are hard to come by...Any ANGers on here that can help me out?

    Yes there are a lot of openings now. These are for units that are gaining aircraft compliments of the BRAC. However, most of these "new" openings are being offered to units (like mine) that are losing aircraft, thus losing thier fire protection. In other words, they will be moslty filled from transfers vs. new recruits.
    A Fire Chief has ONLY 1 JOB and that's to take care of his fireman. EVERYTHING else falls under this.

    gotcha thanks. Im a 106th RQS wanna be, then I saw that there were some FF positions and started wonderin...

    thee open spots just depend on your base. you can find out what is available from the recruiter, or online at goguard.com

    Your best bet is going to be calling the recruiter and getting a definite answer about the availability for fire protection. There are positions on the web that could already be filled. Call and ask is the only way to be sure.
