Hey I noticed that when you leave the pager on "A" and hold down the squelch while turning on on you get this secret mode. Anyone know how to use it or what its for? Also "B" on one pager makes the lights flip back and forth, and "C" makes a loud squeaky noise for a min and then goed off. And "D" just puts it on squelch full time? Anyone have a manual or know what these secret menus are for?

Those are used for programming if you have the correct software.

"secret mode"
The A,B,and D I am not sure what they are. But the loud beep for a min when you hold the squelch down and turn it on while selected on "C" is the program mode for the dealer. AS far as I know, it wont do anything for you (since you dont have the software/cradle programmer)except beep, then you have to turn it off and back on to again receive pages.

That is all for service and programming. The only thing you can accomplish by playing with it yourself is screwing it up. It isn't a secret mode, it is for programming and service only.
Even the burger-flippers at McDonald's probably have some McWackers.

I found those as well as another "feature" if you can call it that. When set to priority scan, D on my pager, giving the mon button a quick press followed by a long press will cause the orange led to flash. Repeating the process does it again, but the light flashes faster. A 3rd time makes it even faster, and the 4th time, it returns to the original rate. Does anyone have a manual or document that desribes this or the other pager responses?
I would also like a copy of the V user manual if anyone has a pdf of it. You can send it to KB1OEV@gmail.com
Thanks.

Don't listen to these guys. These are definitely secret modes. Motorola doesn't want people to know that these secret modes allow your pager to be used as a 2-way radio. It can then be used to call FDNY dispatchers from wherever you are at. The flashing lights indicate the tranmit power.......

I have to disagree... I've pushed the button and turned all the knobs in all kinds of combinations and I can't get the LED lights to flash in these patterns discussed.
If only I could get the little voices comming from it to stop ...
they keep telling me where to go ...
when I get there, they know what I'll find ...

Try this one... turn it on and off, set the channel to B and press the replay in 3 sets of 3 pushes.... it plays the chorus of this repeatedly....

Those "hidden modes" test the functionality of the buttons, lights, etc.

Minitor 5 Falsing Menu
If you have a minitor 5 that goes off for no reason. If your at the main screen not the user data hit Shift+S and you can change it.
