Try Rossford, Northwood, Perrysburg City, Perrysburg Twp, Washington Twp. etc etc etc.

I can't think of the rest off of the top of my head.Just because it's called a throw bag, doesn't mean you throw the whole bag... you're supposed to hold onto the rope.

Oh sorry. I read your OP real fast and thought it said Northwest Ohio. There are plenty of places out here for you if you're willing. You can make it to downtown Cleveland in 1 hr and 20 min or so.

are you currently a EMT-Basic?.. there are several depts. around the area that have no requirements besides high school diploma or GED.. all you have to do is find out when they are testing, take the written, if you pass take a physical test and so on. There are a few depts. tho that do require medic and so on. Your 240 card and basic would def. help getting hired imho tho.

Where do you live? This will narrow down your choice of departments. Most of the part time places have some sort of area of response requirement. I can suggest several if you narrow it down. But, you will most likely need your EMS certifications first.

Try Chesterland first. They are a volunteer/part time department. Then you can look at just about anything around you. They all have either volunteer or volunteer/part time departments. If you go into Lake County, you will find full time/part time departments. I suggest getting your EMT first. Some of them may take you without it to get you started.

If you read my last post that should send you in the right direction. Almost all of Geauga county is either vollie or has some part-time. Lake county is full time/part time. Look around and ask friends that work at other departments. I am fully aware of what happened in Chesterland. It was a complete shame.

Most departments are going to require your EMT card. That being said, here is where I would try once you get your EMT card;
Chardon
Kirtland
Munson
Middlefield
Auburn
Rusell
Bainbridge
Chagrin Falls
Aurora
Madison
Perry

Most Fire Depts. in Cuyahoga county and Every Fire Dept. in Lake County with the exception of Eastlake has part time. just apply where ever you want to work. Its not that hard to find a part time fire job. Once you get your EMT card.
