Anybody have these yet? Said to be certified to NFPA 1971, 2007 Edition, in a semi bourke fashion. They also claim such a strong shell that no impact cap (styrofoam liner?) is needed as in the Carnes defender I tried on. The defender lens would not fit with ANY ones glasses in the room.
Any users care to comment?
Thanks in advance.

Morning Pride helmets are JUNK, don't believe everything the salesman tells you... I'd much rather have a 1010/1044.
These are my opinions, not those of my career department, my volunteer company, or my affiliates. And by the way, I'm not a Junior.

Ask them why they designed a finial that acts as a hook that snags hanging debris in a fire? The acorn screws always back off and loosen...the trim protecting the brim edge easily tears off....ect.
MP are low bid junk...I've worn Cairns and MP and Cairns is a much better helmet.

I disagree with FFRED, I can't say enough good things about the Ben2. To me it fits better and is more comfortable than anything I have ever wore. (Bullard, Carins, Morning Pride) The Ben2 has a shorter bill in the back, so it doesn't bang the SCBA as much as a Carins 1010 is. The 1010 is almost 2 inches longer.
However, I certainly do not use and abuse my helmet like FFRED does either. When you wear it all day every day it gets much much more action than ones in my neck of the woods.
Morale of the story: Do your own research and purchase what works well for you. Don't believe any crap from a salesman, find out yourself. Get samples and use them for a while. If they won't do that, they won't stay in business very long.Jason Knecht
