One man is in the hospital after he drove his van into a Lexington fire station.
It happened at Station #4 on Jefferson Street, and now Lexington's oldest fire station is in jeopardy.
Witness say the driver lost control and slammed into the building.
Most of the firefighters stationed there were out on a run this morning when the crash happened.
Police say it's possible the driver may have had a medical condition.
Structural engineers have been on the scene all morning, and say it will be some time before it's safe for firefighters to return.
While Station #4 is closed for repairs, the firefighters who usually live there will be stationed at Fire Station #1.
