Hey guys im new to this site and i am just tryin to gather information about the different careers there are in the fire service...i am most likely going to be attending suffolk community college on long island in january for fore protection technology. This is a associates degree and my main goal is to be a ff in the FDNY. However i missed the exam so i have to wait the 4 years which sucks. Im really interested in arson investigation but i dont kno what is involved and wat classes are needed or if i need on the job experience..etc. I have wanted to be a firefighter since i was about 7 and right now i am a volunteer on the island.
