Just in. 9:53 Eastern. 1600. I am hoping that number has a special significance after my recent escapades at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave....

I was wondering for a minute.

Let me just say, if you have a great big breathing air compressor in the
back of your pickup truck, with some SCBA bottles, do NOT drive by the
    White House complex around midnight...

Espically when your pickup does not have a rear tag, in accordance with Missiouri state law or not.... (Can you say "probable cause?)

The Secret Service, both uniformed and plainclothes WILL pull you over, surround your vehicle, and check you out.

And I can't blame them in the least nor did they act in any way other than totally professional.

At least it's an improvement from their previous tactics....."Shoot first, ask questions later".

    We were number 2272.

I need to give some pubic recognition to Kurt. I just came off a crazy week. I travelled out of state for training for four days and came home to 20+" of snow! My flight did not arrive last night until after 12:30am. I came home to find an email from Kurt that he worked on my proposal for me, knowing that I was going through a mess, and it was ready for my final review and submission. What a savior!

I talked with him twice today and I cannot thank him enough for helping me clear the remaining hurrdles and get our grant in on time!

Thank you, Kurt. Thank you for the great grant seminar in September. Thank you for answering my questions in the forum and on the phone, and thank you for going well beyond all expectations to help me finish this project.

Now I am ready for some R and R.

    Jon
