Hi. has anyone tried filling a old (pressuredised) foam extinguisher with water or a water/detergent mix.
Also how effective would the detergent be on oil/gasoline fires..

the nozzle on an modern amerex water extinguisher nozzle could be substituted with a arated foam nozzle there is some evidence that dish soap might have value on liquids the thing to note is that i am not a firefighter and you should not use me as the primary source of verification.....
