A turnout gear vendor I know told me he had to have a set custom made once for a "little person" on a local volunteer department. He says the chief of said department got reamed out by some lady on a fire scene once...she saw the guy from a distance, in full turnouts, going into a house fire, and chastised the chief for letting "children" do dangerous stuff like that

"I have a dream. It's not a big dream, it's just a little dream. My dream — and I hope you don't find this too crazy — is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."

$10 says he drives the mini-pumper.

I know that's politically incorrect, but I just couldn't resist.

That's a fake, compare the two shadows. Both are the same exact size, one should be noticeably larger...

Look at the size of the SCBA bottle on the little fellers back. It goes from his shoulders to the split of his pants. Looks like an undoctored photo to me...

I'm interested to hear the story to the picture.
