is there anyone who knows the work schedule for hanscom air force base, i think i might apply for one of the firefighter positions they have available. I'm just trying to get an idea about what i might expect, this side of firefighting is knew to me compared to my town.

I agree with Davjohnson.. give the chief a call and ask about the shifts and maybe a few of the other requirements and possibly request to se the station. Your name may stick with the chief and he may remember you when the resumes come in. Come up with a few questions to ask the chief so as you don't sound like you're coming up with stuff out your rear and wasting his time.
