Basic Firefighter Class
The words I post here are my own. They do not reflect the opinions of the organizations I am affilliated with.

I didn't think there was any requirements for it, that's why it's basic.
If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation?

My words stated here do not necessarily point towards organizations which I am affiliated with.

Im in firefighter 1 right now, with only three classes left, feels like its never gonna end either b/c classes keep being canceled due to weather. Anyways back to the question. Im only 17 and a senior in high school so here in New York you don't have to be 18 or out of high school.

Thanks for everyones posts. It has helped me alot. Right now, my Chief is at the state acadmey(spelling?) taking a class right now, but when he gets back I will talk to him.
Also I live in Tennessee, and, if this helps, here are some of the requirements to be a Volunteer Firefighter: have to be 18, have a drivers license, have a high school diploma or G.E.D and have no criminal record. I hope this helps, and Thanks again everyone.Last edited by whfdExplorer; 12-16-2007 at 02:43 PM.

In my area you have to be 18 and in good health, physically and mentally. no major criminal record or anything like that.
