Out Of Business Info

I am searching for info on a previous employer to get start/end dates and info so i can be ok on a background check but i cant get any contact information on a business that i worked for. Since i have quit, they have been out of business but there must be some way to find the information and i dont want a background investigator to think i went the easy route by saying "out of business, not contact info"

Where can i get this info or any info.
The business was called Beyond The Beach and the store i worked for was in Montclair, CA.

Slow down and take a deep breath. Take your best educated estimate on the dates of employment. You can explain this when you meet with the BI.

You can also get your file from Social Security that will show dates.

haha, ok ill slow down, but as you know, no one likes to guess on dates when it comes to the BGI. I will try to get a hold of the info from SS. I remember going to a government building in search of the same thing but i was told i was only allowed to get dates that were prior to 5 years ago.

i called every number that i could find on yellowpages.com I even called hawaii and no such luck. I looked on the SS website and that wasnt much help. Im going to call them tomorrow and see what is needed.

I have a month until i meet with my BGI. I just got my BG packet today.

yes i called every number that came up on switchboard.com i tried the SS website and found no form or info so i will call again after christmas

I went to the Social Security office here in Omaha to get my work history info. The lady that helped me just wrote down all the dates and places I worked for the last 10 years. I think I would have been charged a small fee had I taken a printed copy. I don't know if you have a Social Security office in your town/city, but you could try going in person and checking there.
