    Default Truck Explanation (pic enclosed)

I was going through a photo album on the PA firefighters website of the state expo and noticed this truck. Look at the front then look at the rear of the rig. I've never seen anything like this before and was wondering if anyone could provide any info, thanks...

You're right.. I've never seen a firetruck with a red X on it before.

    The pic didn't show up

It's a truck for people who have trouble backing up.

Default no trouble backing into the station

Well, this truck definitely alleviates the problem of back in the station...just drive into the bay...I like it!

Seriously, this is a demo truck displaying chassis types; saw this picture in Firehouse magazine awhile ago (different chassis styles).

MPVFD is correct, it's two different Spartan cabs mounted on the same chassis. It's a PR tool to allow them to bring two cabs at once with them to the trade shows.

Also handy for fighting fires in narrow alleyways.

    Thumbs up Gladiator

If my memory serves me correctly, it's the Gladiator "Classic" on one side and the "Evolution" (shown) chassis.

Wow, never saw anything like that. Good explanations. Without the help of an explanation that is cause for a serious WTF?! moment.

Sometimes there is a practical reason...this is an actual truck used for the Mont Blanc tunnel in Switzerland....

My dream — and I hope you don't find this too crazy — is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."

I noticed that the front cab on the Mount Blanc truck is called MAN.

The other one better be called FEMALE, or there will be big trouble from the PC crowd.
