2008 AFG Program

Does anyone hae any ideas as to whether there will be any wholesale changes to the 2008 AFG program from 2007?

Also, I was wondering if anyone has been awarded a Quint through the program. We made it up until December with our application for 100 ft quint, I personally think the problem may have had to do with the cost/ benefit on the vehicle, we were looking at numbers of $740,000.

Anyone have any thoughts? We have been considering going after a 75' quint as a way to reduce the cost maybe giving us a better shot.

2006 - 6 vehicles awarded over $600K
2007 - 9 vehicles so far awarded over $600K

That's less than 1% of all vehicles awarded. Draw your own conclusions!Odds pretty small for an award of that size.

So, back to the initial question. Anyone have any word on whether or not there's going to be any changes in 08? Are they still going to allow multiple applications? Previous award winners allowed to apply again? Any more changes in the app., like last year's breakdown of runs including BLS vs. ALS?
