Anyone know when the phone calls are expected by?

A total of 60 people are going to be hired this time around. There will be 2 days of backround meetings, this Thurs. and Fri., so all offers should be made by then. They want to start the academy ASAP and they are already funded for all 60 recruits so things SHOULD move along pretty quickly.

Jfaz, i dont think they are done yet with the calls. I heard they still had a few more interviews today?maybe? just rumor.

So today or tommorrow is the deadline through the grape vine huh? Looks like time will tell. The clock is ticking 1 year and 8 months later.

I was also told the last day of interviews was yesterday so calls should be made today or tomorrow. Good luck.

Word in the firehouses today is that only 15-20 calls have been made for initial conditional offers. They don't want to overwell HPD with all the backgrounds at once. Supposedly they are also in the process of hiring and doing backgrounds for HPD class. Anyone who has not gotten a call should sit tight.

we were told yesturday at our background meeting that there were two groups of about 35 going thursday and friday. 10 people were alternates from what i gathered.

Physicals are starting today I have mine this afternoon. All signs are pointing towards a May 5th start date but nothing official yet.

From what i was told the medicals are going till the end of next week. I am done with the background and medical as is Jfaz.

I called yersterday tuesday, and they told me they were not done yet, i still have not heard any thing yet no phone call no letter any one have any info?

My physical is Tuesday the 15th and from what i heard is by Friday the 18th people should get the call to give their employers their 2 week notice to start training on May 5th, GOOD LUCK TO ALL

So by friday everyone that should get a call or letter should have one? If we have not gotten a call for the physical who would we call to see if we are still on the list if we have taken the chiefs oral?
