Does anyone have any updates on the class that went in?
Whats the deal with the list are they going to pull from the list anytime soon or is there no hope if your on the list ?

Latest rumor is they want to hire another 50 in maybe March or April. They are waiting on the mayor to sign off on that though so we'll see. If anyone else knows anything else please share.

so when is graduation for this class?

In a old post someone said ther is 60 something people left on the list. When they sent our letters out they should have gave us a ranking order, im probably last on the list.

So does that mean they are only pulling from an already established list? Or if someone applied now would they be considered?

They already have a list and are not accepting any applications.

Per Chief Nolan on the news last night 25 started the first class and 19 will be graduating this afternoon. Nothing new about a second class.

I'm assuming they failed out because on teh news they said Chief Nolan said it's normal for about this many to not make it through. I know there were 2 females that started the class but didn't complete it, I don't know why though. The graduating class is all guys.

One female got preggers and will most likely come back for the next class. The other female got canned a week or so before graduation.From what I understand she was back-doored into hiring process and had not passed the CPAT.

why is everything so political, why do they allow this , I dont care if they have to meet a certain ratio. This kind of practice is not fair or equal to other people thats have been trying for years to get on if you cant pass the cpat should not be hired at all

Another news report last night on WFSB said 19 graduated and 18 guys retired in the last 6 months alone. More then half the dept. has over 20 years so can retire anytime. They also said this is the first class in over 5 years and the NEXT CLASS WILL FOLLOW RIGHT BEHIND.
