    Question Federal Firefighter, Retirement!!

    Hello All,

I am about to retire and have requested my Calculations. They are reducing my salary before the calculations. Can't get anyone to tell me under what Fed Reg they are doing that?? I understand, they always have done it, however it must have a reg to back it up!!! I am also looking for the info on the law suit we won back in the early 80's about loosing our FLSA OT, when we took leave. Is there still some people around who remeber??? It stated all our pay was inherant in our pay, not to be seperated out for regular and OT pay!!!!??? Can anyone help???

You will get credit towards total retirement for all the hours worked but the 38 hours (if you are on a 72 hr workweek) overtime are only credited as straight time, not time and a half overtime.
I believe DODFire.Com has the pay schedule, which includes totals for high 3 at your rate. Go to Firefighter pay and download the 2008 schedule.
    Hope this helps.

Yea, my computer is horse-powered Randy, just a little slow on the start ups and don't dare get behind me.

Stop in anytime for a cigar, always have plenty for all those overnight fires!!!!
Better hurry though, only 2 years 2 months and 3 days left.
