Four Alarm Fire in Milwaukee
Sorry, I don't have a ton of info, but this appeared to be a very quick moving fire.
Reported at about 1420 hrs this afternoon, as report of fire at 920 N. 28th St, 911 hangup. E28 first arriving, reported heavy smoke and fire on the 3rd floor, requested full first alarm, with an additional truck and engine along with the three and three response on the first alarm. Arrival of E28 was at about 1423, requested first alarm at arrival. Requested 2nd alarm at 1426, third alarm at 1427. At this point in time there were 10 engines, seven ladders, two paramedic squads, two heavy rescues, one support unit and multiple chiefs on the assignment. Shortly after the 3rd alarm was struck out, reports of people trapped on the fire floor, and floor below were heard. Unknown if there actually was any entrapment, 4th alarm sounded at 1439, with an additional paramedic unit requested. The 4th brought an additional three engines. Heavy fire reported on the fourth and third floors. Fire placed under control at 1457. All units cleared the scene shortly before 1700hrs CST.
Local news reports no known injuries to any fire personnel, or civilians. No fatalities either. Basically the fire went from a single engine investigation to three alarms in about 6 minutes. Either way, excellent work by the Milwaukee brothers. I'm looking for pictures and video currently.
