For FDNY it was a month and a year after the test. Written instructions were given during the test instructing applicants on how to apply for the points

    ffbam,

any rumors on the job about residency points in regards to the rumor of needing it (residency) a year before the exam?

I just got called by a recruiter to confirm my contact info, she told me filing for the next exam starts this Friday (07/01) and end August 31st. The exam is to be held in December.

It's hard to believe that there has been no official word and yet we're three days away from July 1. We shall see i guess.

In regards to the whole moving thing. For the last exam I was in between places during the allotted time frame and it wasn't an issue as long as you stayed in the city. Although, who knows what they'll conjure up for this next exam.

Just spoke to my investigator, he said he did not have any news regarding a new test/filing period. Nothing is confirmed right now according to him. When i asked if 6019 was dead, his response was "probably, but anything can happen."

i just called the FDNY hotline. spoke to a nice lady. they said the start of the filing period isnt tomorrow but it should be sometime in july. they just dont know the date. i asked if it would be alright to just call everyday she said it was fine and to check the website regularly.. I'm just gonna call everyday.

this might all be redundant but i thought it would help. although again nothing is confirmed. so please take it with a grain of salt.

For the guys on 6019 lets hope that the City files a appeal asap and extends

the list for all the candidates who have had multiple phys, stairs and especially

eye surg screw the new test. These morons are never going to be satisfied

unless the job is handed to them. How about the Deutsch Bank verdicts.

Money talks and Bull !!!! walks. Stay safe and support rank order hiring off

list #6019. Don't let them get their foot in the door like they did here in Boston.

    Ruined the JOB!!!!!

It seemed a little weird that they'd open the filing on this Friday with the holiday weekend & a lot of offices (not sure if it goes for the city too) having a half day. But it was also weird that someone would be able to get firm dates out of them too.

Anyways, here's a link to the Yearly Exams Schedule

Later that day they also called my friend up and gave him the same info. Personally I don't think anyone has an idea when the test filing will begin. I think they're just calling people up so they can keep an eye on it themselves. I'm just relaying the message I received.

Ya, I didn't mean you weren't told the info you passed along, I'm sure you were. I'll bet if we talk to 10 diff people over there we'd get 10 diff answers too.

Was just about to post that^ and what Tom said. They're keeping an eye on their prospects. Recruiters and investigators alike will tell you what they think you want to hear. I'm with the crew that believes its too soon to tell especially with the 6019 biz still so fresh

    Document sent out.
I am not on the 6019 email list, is there a way to get a copy of the doc?

Thumbs up Stop the Dept of Social Justice. NOBAMA

All the candidates who should have been OTJ by now should consider filling

a waiver for the fee that DCAS charges for the test. Remember all of you

have done what was asked of you to earn the right to be a member of the

FDNY, only to have the rug pulled out from under you. Support rank order

    hiring off #6019. Stay safe.

I know The Vulcan's aren't everyones favorite group here, but honestly it is kind of bogus that the city plans to almost double the exam fee when they until now have barely scratched the surface of the last exam they used. $30 is actually pretty cheap compared to other testing areas, but still a $19-$24 hike is excessive, IMO.
