Anyone got any PowerPoints on the set up and use of Tyrolean Traverses or Highlines?

    Luke,

i may have somehting I can send you. I am a contract instructor and use the host companies info were applicable. I have a PPT but it doesn't go over much of the rigging aspects and i originally didn't think it would interest you but since no one else has relied... It has a copyright so I guess it would be for your personal use only.

I am in the process of writing a book to be released in july or so. I will try to get you a copy of the book and CD if you wold like. If your interested keep my email on file and shoot me a note in a couple of months.

    Jeff

The Lipke guide is a good resource. I use the same one and added some laminated pages with other field data and calcs.

Guide books are great as long as it is used as a reference for something you have already been trained in. I have seen people who try to use these field guides to "guide" them in the application of a skill they never formally learned.

    Spot on there!

The other issue I have with books, especially around highlines/tyrolean traverses, is the conflicting information and techniques.

I have about 9 different books, including CMC's, Tom Vines, etc and they all have different force calculations and set up techniques....

    Default ppt on tirolean traverse

what is exctly the purpose of your request? I mean, to be use with what? I've made my training in High angle in europe. I have some good materials on the Tyrolean Traverse, but want to make sure it's 4 rescue purposes, or just 4 fun.
