    Cool EMT-B recert.

    Hey i was just wondering i dont have to be recertified until march of 09, but i was wondering when i do have to get recert. (OHIO) im kinda confused on how the whole process works. Do you have to work for 6 months as an emt. take any recert. test. if someone could just leave some helpful info itd be much appreciated.

    You need to contact your certifying agency and ask them these questions. They would know best.

    I wouldn't trust my certification to Internet banter.

    How do I renew my certification?

    All EMT'S are sent a reminder postcard regarding certification renewal 180 days prior to the expiration date of the certificate to practice . Please follow the instructions for renewal when you receive this postcard. Remember that we send all correspondence to the most recent address we have on file. If your address has changed , please fill out the change of address form posted on our website under forms and return to our office for processing. If you should need a replacement card, please fill out the replacement card form posted on our website under forms and return to our office for processing.

    How many hours do I need to renew my card?

    Please access the "Training, Testing and Certification" portion of our web site. Under there, you can choose "Certification and Continuing Education Requirement Brochures," and download a copy of the appropriate renewal brochure.     If you were certified by Ohio, then when you took the classes and received the certification, you should have been told all of this.

    Contact the agency to which issued you the certification!!!

    No since in being confused. Stop wondering too!
