Around 1980 there were some deaths in West Texas due to possible SCBA malfunction. This was in Midland or Odessa or Abilene or somewhere else.
This brought about changes in how we treat SCBAs and how we use them.
Does anyone have information about this event?
I am writing a paper.
Thanks

I believe the deaths were related to SCBA failure. These occurred, if we are referring to the same deaths, in Lubbock, TX. 3 firefighters lost their lives that day at the Underwoods Fire. You might check with the City of Lubbock website.
