    Default Great place to live

It's a good place to live, if you like the outdoors, mountains, state parks and big city convience. The only downfall (if you want to call it that) is that Engelwood is landlocked by Denver and other departments (West Metro, Littleton etc.) Because of that Engelwood covers a smaller area. Is that a plus or minus for you?

I don't know much else about Englewood, but I would definately apply if I had all the proper certs. In fact I did apply but never heard from them.

As for Aurora, they've been accepting laterals for a while, therefore I understand it's extremely hard to get on even if you have some experience.

I think you are looking for the DRCOG.com web site. It is held 2 times a year. Search DRCOG.fire and it should come up. It will tell all the FDs that participate. I tood the test last Nov and got a 88%. It is mainily a psyc test w/150 Q's. It isnt what I expected. I am from MI and was under the impression that the Fds would take from the list and the DRCOG agency would keep a tight update on the hiring. I only recieved one FD reply back and they wanted me to go back out there 3 more times to test. Not easy with the cost of everything.
