Ive been a packer hater all my life but I would have liked to see them in the Bowl. Favre played some of the best football of his career this year and had fun doing it. I dont even really like the Pats but id like to see them go undefeated this year. They deserve it, they have played good football all year

    McCarthy owns this loss.

    Two biggest reasons:

    1. 4th and 2 with 5 minutes left in 4th quarter. You have to go for it. There was not enough time to hope for another shot. (I know, they got the ball back. But by that time they were in total panic mode).

    2. Do you suppose after the seventh or eighth reception they may have replaced Al Harris on Plexico?

I bleed Giant blue, but I also would have enjoyed seeing Vavre in the Super Bowl. He is a class act and obviously loves the game. I almost believed it was his destiny to get there.

Anyway, conventional logic has the Pats winning big. Conventional logic also had the Bucs winning. Conventional logic also had the Cowboys and the Pack winning big.

    Giants by a FG.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I hate how being conservative is the way in the NFL. The ole play not to lose mentality.

    2. Do you suppose after the seventh or eighth reception they may have replaced Al Harris on Plexico?
Honestly, I would have changed it up after about the fifth reception. Harris had some great coverage, great positioning, and Plaxico still was making catches. He was the Giants offense last night. Well, that and Eli was threading the needle and making every throw he needed to.
Eli really looked sharp, poised, and under control.

I'm a believer. I wasn't surprised when they beat Tampa. I was very shocked when they beat Dallas, and I was mortified as they beat Green Bay. They won none of those games pretty, but they still won.

I don't like to make predictions on games, just way too many variables on game day. I also subscribe to the theory that on any given Sunday, any given team, can win any given game. I wouldn't count the New Jersey Giants out.

I will say that I am looking forward to watching Jacobs run the ball. Out of all the Giants players, I was very impressed with him running the football.
Ask Charles Woodson and Nick Barnett what they thought about his ability.

All that, and the Pats are 18 and 0. I believe that the Dolphins were 17 and 0.

This is one of those things that is difficult for the record books. By statistical account, the Dolphins record is already beaten, except that the Patriots haven't won the Super Bowl. If the Patriots are beaten in Arizona, they have still won more consecutive games than the Dolphins, but no Super Bowl.

Interesting thought; the '07 Patriots have already broken the record, unless they lose game number 19, which is still two more games played than the '72 Dolphins did.

Congrats to the New York Giants. Their defense is what won the game. They put an incredible amount of pressure on Tom Brady, who took a beating.. on the other hand, he does have Gisele Bundchen to ease his pain.
