I came up with this one: Put THAT in your pump and flow it.

Comes from: Put THAT in your pipe and smoke it...

    ...get it?

Yes, but what is this proverbial "THAT" of which you speak?

Soda, Kool-Aid, etc, will probably gum up the works. Liquor would just be a shameful waste. We already know that solids and impellers don't mix (or reasonably should know...LAFireEd might be a bit behind the power curve on that one ), at least not for long.
So what besides water would we ever want to put in the pump and flow???
My opinions might coincide with someone of importance's POV... I wouldn't know, since I never bothered to ask. My policy is: "Don't ask, don't care."

One for those of us that do, or also do, wildfire work.

The difference between a controlled burn and a wildfire is that with a controlled burn the BRT's are there first.

That one is mine, use it if you wish!

Here's one that can save the lives of your crew....

"If the smoke is moving faster than you can, you have been warned!"
-Unknown FDNY Captain quote from the Podcast of Dodson's "The Art of Reading Smoke"

After the Our Lady of the Angels School fire (1958), Percy Bugbee, then president of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) said in an interview, "There are no new lessons to be learned from this fire; only old lessons that tragically went unheeded." The sentiment has been subsequently echoed in many NIOSH reports.

I would have to say that this is one of the most meaningful quotes that I have seen in the forums. Both sides of this quote are echoed daily in the FH forums.

I worked in an area that had four giant "mobile home communities" Engine 8 respond to address lot 28 for whatever. Everyone on the crew looked at one another and said F T C (Fu*&ing Trailer Court)
