Looking for training projector

Just received foundation award for use in buying a projector. Do not have laptop computer yet but want to use this projector for training purposes. Will use projector to take things off of computer and display upon wall. I am a dummy when it comes to computers and projectors but am good at getting grants. Any ideas as award was $1000.00. Want suggestions on best for money and best place to buy from. thx

We just got one from Best Buy. It was less than $600 on clearance. Just tell them what you need and they'll set you up. For $1000 you may be able to get a projector and a used laptop if you shop carefully. I got our screen online from Provantage.com as it was much cheaper than buying from a box store. I'd get a DLP projector...the new ones are great, and really small.

Do yourself a favor. Mount it to the ceiling and hard wire the video cable down to the wall or somewhere handy.

and if you can swing it, get a spare bulb when you purchase the projector
